I am incredibly fortunate to work at a university that closes for a good week and a half over Christmas and New Year's. I was able to make it to Michigan despite the snow storms, and then I headed to Florida for New Year's week to help my grandma get her house opened up and all set up for the rest of the winter. (I know...such a sacrifice) It was an awesome, relaxing and rejuvenating time.
